Jiuzhaigou

This should've been uploaded long ago, really D:
From last year's trip to China- my dad decided Jiuzhaigou (in Sichuan, yes we went by places that were hit by the earthquake months later) would be a good idea for the *scenery* and being a sucker for taking photos of pretty things with a camera (yes..yes..) I was quite happy to see some pretty things.


So this is in Jiuzhaigou, the..uh..I can't remember its English name. If I translate it directly it's Seven Coloured Lake. In my opinion the prettiest of the lot. It really does look like it has a whole rainbow in it- the water goes from a pale green-blue to this deep blue that looks almost purple, and the rocks fill in with the warm colours. Then it's so still that the surface just reflects everything like a mirror.
Add on the white of the snow..it was awesome. ;;
Photo above hasn't been altered in any way. The only tool of the trade was a point-and-shoot camera.

There was so much nature on the trip I ended up taking ref photos. |D; Yes..my true purpose of taking photos..is to ref from them later if I remember to. (I even stopped to take a bunch of photos of someone's dog, which even shifted its position letting me take even more pose refs.) Total was 519 photos. (many of them multiples of the same thing with adjustments to white balance, ISO, etc.)
